Makerspace Exploration Day: 3D Printer (IB 202, in person OR via Zoom) Online
This class will focus on learning the basics of how to use an FDM style 3D printer including where to locate existing 3D models to use. There will also be a short demonstration of how to create a simple 3D model using free 3D modeling software.
Learning Objectives:
- Locating a usable 3D model
- Importing a 3D model into Prusa Slicer to prepare for printing
- How to load filament into a 3D printer
- How to safely send a 3D print
- How to create a simple 3D model in Tinkercad
